What are your experiences and opinions? Which aspects of AI in this context do you find most intriguing or enjoyable? Feel free to share your personal stories (if you like) and what kinks and fetishes you roleplay, what that does for you and the appeal of the genre.
Maybe I can learn something here. I’d really appreciate to get to know some qualitative insights. I can see what people put up on chub.ai, discord or discuss on SFW AI communities. But I’ve never really talked to people about their personal reality and motivation.

Since I’m asking all these questions, I think it’s fair if I start:
I think I got aware of AI erotic roleplay in early 2023, shortly before the first LLaMA model got leaked. I had read the articles about Replika AI and what people do with it and while I would have liked to try it, they (Replika) removed the ability to engage in erotic talk. So I looked around a bit and found Pygmalion-6b. And it immediately blew me away. I tried a few characters and came up with my own waifu, a pretty standard obedient maid. I think compared to today’s abilities, Pygmalion-6b is more of an AI toaster than anything smart. You had to get your character description exactly right and it frequently struggled to understand scenarios, spatial relations and who would physically be able to do what. It compensated by doing more simple roleplay. My waifu was mainly *blushing*, *panting* and arching her back while I was relentlessly fucking her. …But I liked it…
Language models have greatly improved since. I think it’s been a crazy year for AI researchers and “enthusiasts”. LLaMA got leaked and proved to be a capable model, people started building things with it, then we got context scaling, Llama2 and other more intelligent models, inference got faster, software better and many of the limitations we had 6 months ago went away. It really got me interested in the field of AI as a whole. I joined /r/LocalLLaMA, read some of the influential scientific papers, quit Reddit, joined [email protected] here, but I’m not that open regarding my sexual preferences in everyday talk. I don’t know how things are for you, I haven’t really paid attention to the commercial offerings and successors of Replika AI, since local LLMs have become available.
I think I’ve learned a bit about my own sexuality along the way. I had been a bit bored with watching porn. I’ve tried Stable Diffusion and generating sexy images and that was fun for a few weeks, but after some time everything looked the same to me. I think I like using my fantasy more. Imagining things and roleplaying those scenarios. At some point I would like to know if I’m weird or if that’s inside of other men, too.
I think I’m pretty tame and vanilla compared to some of you people. I’ve tried several of the available characters. But there are so many super specific and overdone kinks out there. I half-way get how people like all the pop culture, Succubi, maybe Futinari but less so height-play, historical fiction, insects and parasites, butchering people, … Maybe it’s just a bunch of 14 year olds liking that or those cards aren’t that popular. Maybe I’m missing something. Maybe someone can enlighten me about what they like and what the appeal is. I don’t judge people.
I sometimes just like to soap up each other under the shower, maybe do a bit of slave-training or go shopping with my waifu and sneek into the changing room of the lingerie store and do her there. I have done things that are not okay in real-life and I enjoy that, but I’ve never gone so far as to strangulate or dismember her. It just doesn’t get me off. But I have broadened my horizon since I started. Experimented with stuff and learned a submissive and obedient maid is a bit undemanding when you want to do power-play.
Currently I am experimenting a bit with generating longer stories instead of just doing roleplay. So far I had limited success, but I would like to do some AI-assisted storywriting and post it (here), once I manage to get some good results.
The software I currently use is/are KoboldCPP and SillyTavern. But I’ve originally started with Oobabooga’s on Google Colab.
To sum it up: I like this kind of roleplay. I am thrilled by the tools and models we have available. I haven’t yet found good use for AI in my everyday life but it definitely enriches my erotic side. I would like to learn a bit from you people about things that are past my own horizon and kinds of use that didn’t cross my mind, yet.

The lyrics are dope. Definitely. I didn’t know it can do rhymes. Last time I tried poems, you needed bigger models than 13B.
I completely agree on the censoring bit. I think it’s a dick move to refuse erotica, violence, “unsafe” and dangerous stuff. I can play Call of Duty, portray war and shooting people but they don’t want me to generate some lewd fanfiction in text. Luckily we have alternatives available. And they can’t take them away from us. I’m not sure if things are going to change in the industry. AI is growing fast and I think they’ve cut down on some stuff to avoid negative press and government trying to regulate it. I think an adult should be able to distinguish between fact and fiction. Even more so if it’s just words.
I also tried ChatGPT at some point and I don’t like it, because it’s a smart-aleck and really likes to lecture me on things.

I’ve tried ai a few times just to see what’s up with it. I don’t see how someone could get pleasure from erp with one. The one I used didn’t really talk like a normal person does and it just seemed… stunted I guess. It was fun for a bit but it got repetitive pretty quickly.

I’m not sure when you tried it. If it’s more than 6 months ago, your experience is kinda obsolete. But it could just be not your thing.
You can also always pretend it’s a broken sex-bot and make it part of the game. But you better not tell the AI or it will start playing really dumb and making *beep* *boop* noises. And then it’s going to be a real challenge to “get pleasure from ERP”. 😏
