I’ve noticed a HUGE influx of some extremely concerning posts, and I thought I could take some time to give some advice to help keep yourself safe as you try to have fun here.

  1. Be wary of anyone including their kik, whatsapp, snapchat, or telegram IDs in the title or description. Especially on Telegram and Whatsapp, your phone number is visible to others by default and can be used by bad actors to narrow down your IRL identity.

  2. Never give out info regarding Age, Name or Location. These can be used to find your social media profiles.

  3. Never send photos of your face or identifying tattoos if requested. It can be temping to do so in exchange for nudes in return, but this is the easiest way to get yourself blackmailed.

  4. Before DMing someone or asking to be DM’d, check the users profile. If they are posting the same thing on multiple subreddits, it is likely a scam or an ad.

  5. Beware of people asking to be at least xx age as they may just be looking for financially suitable profiles.

  6. Beware of very generic posts saying “I’m horny I want to have a good time,” etc.

  7. If the first DM you get is something like “are you you ready for a dirty chat or naughty fun” or similar lines, it will likely turn out to be an OF seller or a scam.

  8. The most common red flag posts I’ve seen lately are F4M posts looking for a male sub. Another red flag is if the username is a bunch if random letters and numbers, or if the username has “mom,” “mommy” or “Goddess” in it.

I make this post because I’ve fallen into these traps myself and ended up blackmailed. It was among the most traumatic experiences of my life. Don’t let that happen to you.

Fuck, that sucks (for that mod, idk if it was you or just copy pasting). It sucks but you need to have good opsec around these things. I’d say one of the most important things is don’t include your face (or tattoos, if they’re obvious to your friends/family and visible) in any photo to a stranger. If things were ever getting serious with someone and you wanted to go further, bare minimum is video chat, if they repeatedly say no they’re most likely a scammer/catfish, or otherwise not really serious and worth being with.

My gf almost got scammed, she was talking to someone, generic photo, searched reverse image search and nothing which is a good sign, (could have been AI, thinking about it) but then she randomly just asks if she wants a job (employment scam).

No, I just copied it from the original subreddit. We pinned it there as well since it is good advice
