I can open the post page and expand there but I can’t expand from the front page.

    As far as I understand it, this is the proper way to include redgifs content for now

    It’s interesting that redgifs links don’t seem to get views (probably because they are treated as external links and don’t expand play in-line unless the post is clicked into).

    I’m still testing my theory out - but video links like from imgchest links (which do embed “properly” and play inline on main community page) do seem to get much better views/interactions compared to redgifs… Example: https://lemmynsfw.com/post/132049
