I’m more bummed out at the news of your stalker. I’ve seen this before in this industry, and I swear these guys need to get a grip. Sad, desperate losers who think they are entitled to someone and can’t take rejection (hint: rejection is good - they are saving you from wasting your time so you can move onto someone else, as much as a bummer as it may be that the dream inside your head is shattered).

I work in the tech industry (software developer) so I’ve heard many stories of women being stalked and/or treated like shit when they reject a male software developer. I know my sister as a pharmacist had a picture of her taken without her consent while she was working by another employee (to show his friends).
Sadly, shitheads are in all industries 😔
As for men having stalkers - now that’s an idea. Women should team up to stalk men, but stay aggravating stuff like “you’d be more handsome if you played less videogames/watched less sports/spent less time in front of the computer” etc.
I know I got a taste of my own medicine when I was curious enough to try dating men, and, well, some of the utterly horny men I matched with really made me reflect on my own behaviour I’ll say that much.

Yes stalking can happen to anyone! I’m sorry to hear about your colleagues who had negative consequences for simply saying no. Hopefully the human race can get better about all of this 😂😅
