So, when this community was created, the original mod imposed the following rule

No Japanese schoolgirl/“sailor” uniforms.

Now, I notice @[email protected]’s Post Here is actually breaking this rule… However, it has receive a considerable amount of positive engagement.

This aligns with my personal opinion that the “No serafuku” rule is needlessly restrictive.

So my question is, shall we remove this rule? Please discuss in the comments. if there is no decent argument against the rule change 72 hours from this post, I will action the change

Thanks!

My guess is that the rule was to stop over saturation of Japanese school girl content here as it’s a very popular theme on its own. If there isn’t a community for it already, I’m in favor of removing the rule for it to be included here but I think some consideration should be given to reinstating the rule if this community gets flooded with that specific theme. There is more than enough content related to that theme on the internet for it to become its own community if people are that interested in it.

Seems like that was just their preference? I can’t see any reason to have that rule still

Hi, your post showed up in my everything feed sorted by hot. The post you’re referencing, too. I upvoted it without being subscribed or knowing about the community. My point is: Maybe the attention it received is not from its community and therefore irrelevant for your consideration of changing the rules.

      Hey good point,
But I think the sentiment that serafuku are a subset of schoolgirl skirt is still valid.

Take a deep breath there, mate.

Seeing the engagement was only part of the decision. I didn’t quite agree with the rule when I first took ownership of this community but didn’t feel I should be making a change immediately after taking over. The engagement is not permission, but it is an indication of interest. If anything, getting permission to change the rule from the comms users is exactly what this post is about, the engagement of the post that I mentioned only prompted me to post this.

When people read /c/SchoolgirlSkirts it signifies “this is where you post schoolgirl cosplay related content” but the rules allow for only a particular subset of this content. Another possibility would be to rename the comm to /c/WesternSchoolgirlSkirts but, I don’t really feel we need to stratify our comms that much.

Open to any and all input, but you don’t gotta accuse people of child pornography at every turn :/

I think you should perchance read comments before replying. All of your issues were addressed.

It should be noted that you were the one who first brought up CP in your comment. You opened that can of worms.

If you had zero cards in the game, you had no need to post anything.

I have a card in the game. Lazy comments tick me off.
