Composed by avant-garde artist John Cage, the piece is expected to play in Germany until the year 2640.

We should broadcast it into space in the event that an alien lifeform that perceives time much slower than we do can make sense of it.

Or an alien species on a similar timescale might pick it up and spend centuries debating the meaning. The changes would be big events. I’d love to be able to give others that kind of mystery.

Send a probe to proxima ceturai with some kind of tech to make the star itself pulse the signal so we can really broadcast it.
