We are now in S04 of DS9 (first time) and just watched the “Our Man Bashir” episode. What a fun one. I would think they enjoyed playing these crazy roles every now and then. I am also enjoying Quark’s brother Rom more and more as they further reveal his character.
I am very much enjoying spotting these actors that show up.
I’m on a full rewatch and Rom starts out completely different. Just boilerplate TNG style Ferengi. Such a shocker to see after so long.
He is slowly radicalized and contaminated by the alien human culture.
It’s a very funny trajectory.
Rom is a sweetheart and a hero.
