Toying around with story generation, I suddenly had to think about the time a tried various techniques to induce lucid dreaming, a state where you can consciously guide your dreams. I never got good at it, but the few times it worked longer than a few moments, it was awesome.

AI chat is a bit like that. With the better models, you can move the story into a desired direction. Like dreams, the AI model’s text is not always consistent or logical. Sometimes it stops making sense at all.

But it can be very entertaining.
