  • Its kinda funny that he’s labelled almost exclusively as “MAGA” by the press when he’s here to do worship services. I dont believe anything he did in his first concert had anything to do with politics, it was worship music. Its not like the press wants to stir the pot by emphasizing the MAGA thing /s

If they hadnt made a big deal out of it, this guy would’ve gone across Canada and nobody would’ve noticed except a small group of Christians. Now he’s had international press and more publicity than he could ever afford to buy. Whether that was intentional or not, its brilliant marketing.

  • Feucht has framed the backlash as a violation of religious freedom, saying: “If I had shown up with purple hair and a dress, claiming to be a woman, the government wouldn’t have said a word.”

He’s not wrong. And if someone had shown up at a gay club and thrown a smoke bomb on the stage during a drag show, they would be hauled out on their ass and prosecuted with anything that could be thrown at them.

Good thing we live in a country that believes in equal rights for all. But some people are more equal than others it appears.

The only act of “hate” at his worship service was the person throwing a smoke bomb.

I dont support thuggery. I do support freedom of expression, even if I dont agree with it.

  • Its crazy what people can do in a moment of rage. I grew up in a small prairie town that had nearly zero violence and then one day a guy decided to cut down some very old oak trees that were a windbreak for a rural property. The tree owner argued with him but he insisted he had permission to remove them. The owner, a normally very gentle guy, went in the house got his gun and shot the tree cutter to death. He did years in the penitentiary for it. Good church going man who destroyed his own life and caused his family a great deal of grief over 5 minutes of uncontrolled rage.

  • We definitely are. We dont need the press or the BofC to tell us when we are, we can see the signs - car prices are starting to drop. ‘Toys’ like motorcycles and boats arent selling or are selling for far less than they were last year and there is a flood of them on the market. Fast food places have started to advertise ‘value priced’ meals again in the $5 and $6 range instead of the $15 they’ve been gouging us for since covid. The thrift stores are busier than ever. People are actually buying groceries at the Dollar Store. Food banks are overwhelmed. The recession is here, they just dont want to say the ‘r’ word.
