Thanks for pointing that out. Bad data visualisation strikes again…

Thanks for your reply. I agree the ‘why’ is important, for me that usually makes things more intuitive

Could you recommend a source for learning how to use the command line? In the past I struggled with understanding the basic commands and the various flags. I’ve found it difficult to find good documentation, but I would like to learn
What does poor internal self talk mean here? Thinking badly about yourself? Not making coherent sentences in your thoughts? Something else?

The article is behind a paywall. Do you have other sources?
But what do you get for that money?

It doesn’t have to be email. Denmark has such a system, called e-boks. It’s essentially your digital mailbox where you can receive most letters from government agencies and banks (no more paper!). Other institutions and companies can use it too (not sure about who can and can’t use, maybe you can send ‘letters’ from one individual to another too?). I think it’s also possible to respond in some cases.
Facebook can be very useful for organizing events, it has some occasionally useful groups (e.g. when looking for roommates) and marketplace is one of the few places where people still sell things for way below their value (probably correlated to which people still use Facebook). But as a social media platform it is pretty much dead as far as I’m concerned.

Does a pi hole combine with a VPN? I assume the pi hole can’t see what’s in the VPN traffic and therefore can’t block anything?

I think the main gain is in automation scripts for people with little coding experience. They don’t need perfect or efficient code, they just need something barely functioning which is something that LLMs can generate. It doesn’t always work, but most of the time it works well enough
That’s more or less my point. They won’t come out ahead but at least they won’t have to raise the prices as much so they’ll be more completive compared to manufacturers that don’t include electronics
I’m not so sure about that. With tarrifs of over 100%, manufacturers can add over a 100% to the cost of production and still come out ahead… Alternatively they could move production, but that only makes sense to do if it’s cheaper than adding just enough electronics to make the items exempt from tarrifs

My understanding is that these are government to government subsidies, not government to people subsidies. That’s quite different from what the usa is offering

While true, that unfortunately doesn’t change the reality that many potential new users will run into issues like this
But hey, the more Linux users there are, the more manufactures will be forced to fix their shit
That’s an interesting way to phrase that. But indeed, cars and high population densities do not combine well.
