I think we should start figuring out ways to get the NRA to post some lines of support for LGBTQ+ gun owners now.

Bought it because it seemed intriguing and I read good things about it plus people raved about it on Twitter. Played for a couple of hours but the dice mechanics confused me and I didn’t really follow through. I had never played an RPG with that type of mechanics before, and there wasn’t enough documentation within the game that made sense to me.
One of the great intellectual giants of his generation, that one.
I’m glad that he’s spending his time on solving this very urgent and extremely important matter instead of trivial legislation such as budgets, federal investment in his state, etc.
Ugh, so many to list…LA Noir comes to mind. I played for a few hours and decided I hated the interrogation mechanics. What were supposed to be micro expressions and the responses felt more random than anything to me. Looked great for its time but I just did not enjoy it.

I agree but I think also most of the quality posters will begin leaving as the platform becomes more shittified, beyond those of us that are quitting in protest. I have been noticing a significant decline in the quality of conversations in the last couple of years in a few of my subs, as some people obsessed with karma started inserting themselves in every possible conversation and steering the subs in the direction they wanted. Which is not Reddit’s fault, but it seems to happen every time a social media platform reaches critical mass, and the karma system encouraged that. Some people almost literally live for the karma - how many times have you seen redditors complain about being downvoted? That sort of thing ends up attracting people desperate for attention.
But that was not the app’s fault. Reddit’s own API would not send ads to the apps.
Great post! I spent many hours and broke many an Atari joystick thanks to the C64 port. Frustrating as hell. Yes I used Atari joysticks with my C64…where I lived, the Epyx 500XJ was but a dream…
I thought from the beginning that planning a blackout for just 2 days was self defeating. All they need to do is ride it out. And they got enough disinterested users and subs still active these two days that it’s not really hurting them long term. The only way it hurst them is if it’s a longer strike against engagement with Reddit
My first Lemmy NSFW upvote…what a proud moment
Witcher 3, Death Stranding, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Disco Elysium and Elden Ring.
I like my Steam Deck but I’m not the world’s biggest superfan like a lot of guys in the subreddit were. It definitely has its shortcomings and things that could be improved.
They definitely overpromised. My bro got it for PS4 and apparently it was nearly unplayable. I remember when the Witcher 3 came out it also had quite a few issues but not this bad.
I bought it on sale at Steam a while ago when I got my Steam Deck, but didn’t play much and when I picked it up again it had glitched and replaced my save with something completely different. I’m happy they are updating it and making it into the game that was promised…maybe I’ll give it another chance on decent hardware.
Unfortunately no. I still have a C128 with a 1541, a 1571 and the first mouse they released (1351 I believe?). There was another mouse later that had proportional acceleration and operated more like a normal mouse.
That’s the sexiest mf’er I’ve seen since my first Commodore, a C16 back in 1986
I started a couple of communities as placeholders but don’t really have time to mod. There hasn’t been any activity yet but if / once people start posting we’ll figure it out.
