Time will tell, but know I am already enjoying Lemmy more than Reddit at this point.
carlyman@lemmy.mlOPto Chat@beehaw.org•How much revenue were third party Reddit apps making?English0·2 years agoProbably an unpopular opinion…but I do get Reddit’s perspective that these apps are profiting without sharing back to Reddit who bears the costs and built the community. I wonder what conversations were had to find an equitable point for both sides and what that looked like.
Also…DON’T MAKE TOO MANY COMMUNITIES!!! I know we all have our favorite niche subreddits that we’ll miss, but we need to reach a critical mass with a core set…and then organically break out communities into more niche communities.
