My grandmother started my collection with her gift of a small gumball machine-shaped box with little colorful wooden balls inside for gumballs. I became obsessed with tiny versions of big things and haven’t looked back! Now I have around 20 various-shaped tiny boxes (safely stored away in a much larger box).

How did your day go?

kennuckies@lemmy.worldOPto [Outdated, please look at pinned post] Casual Conversation@lemmy.world•How often do you get asked how your day went?2·2 years agoI like to ask every day, but I usually just get one word answers and then sometimes they’ll ask how my day was. One comment here has a totally different perspective on that question, though, and it’s got me thinking maybe they just don’t like it.

But, usually, it’s the hummingbirds that sound like they’re talking mad trash. They really are such cuties, though!

The recliner/TV setup seems perfect for this game imo. I bought an original Xbox a while ago just to play Dark Alliance the way I remembered playing back in the day, so this is going to be a huge treat either way

Well, he certainly does look in charge
kennuckies@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•Most young people are no longer proud to be Americans, poll finds4·2 years agoIt’s hard to have true perspective on what it means to be an American with my limited travel. I’ve never been out of the country. I’ve been to most southern states, but live in the west coast now (much prefer it here) and am very aware of my bubble. It doesn’t take interaction from people living in countries with free healthcare and great work reform to know that our shit is fucked, though. Proud - not yet. Determined to make this a better place - yes.
He’s just trying to get our guard down
He was probably a 5-6th generation feral kitten born into the colony of strays on my grandparents’ property. His mom hid her litter under the hood of my Papa’s truck, he didn’t know and drove the truck - unfortunately all but Coal Hole overheated and passed away. He was only 1-2 weeks old, and I took him to the vet but all they could tell me is that he would probably be a difficult housecat due to his background lmao she wasn’t wrong, but he’s completely worth it.
He’s definitely heard that one a few times, but especially, “please don’t shit there, Sherlock!”
