I’m disappointed honestly. I still think that Lemmy would be well served by some community flag other than NSFW that makes certain communities a little more hidden. I also do think it was a bit of a knee jerk reaction, but its hard to criticize when they can say “its Canada law”.

Yes, this is almost certainly illegal, depending on where this took place. Fortunately for weirdoes (like me) however, possession of the video is not illegal in basically any country where pornography is legal at all. Much in the same way that video footage of a burglary isn’t illegal in itself.

Like most things which are illegal, incest takes place all the time in the real world. If people weren’t doing it, there would not be a law written to forbid it. You can find news or police reports of examples of this.

There is also still a tiny chance that this is staged. It would have to be a very elaborate hoax though.

I never went there… you can find a lot of stuff without a dedicated website like that or ATF though. Gelbooru, exhentai, nhentai, and e621 each have massive loli troves. Somehow they avoid controversy over it (well, all of them except nhentai require you to log in or toggle an option to see the lolis) and they seem much less likely to go down than dedicated loli sites.

I was excited to make this community because real incest was banned on reddit. After I posted the few videos I really had in mind I didn’t plan much further lol.

But there is an (unwritten?) rule that real or realistic incest content gets removed on any subreddit, whether its pictures, video or written. I don’t think we are likely to need more than one community for all content coming our way soon, so I’ll welcome anything “serious” incest related.

What I don’t want is regular porn with an incest related caption tacked on, or obvious professional actors. Not interested in memes, illustrations, or obvious fiction either… I should figure out how to update the side bar lol

Wouldn’t be quite like Old Reddit without this. I like to think that removing the subs that scared normies away was the canary in the coal mine for Reddit becoming awful. Of course, it’s still not exactly the same thing if we’re not posting porn, but it’s not 2007 either. Are we allowed to discuss where that can be found or are we keeping that strictly hush?
