Lemmy doesn’t really support embedding videos yet. It’s a highly requested feature so i think we can be assured it’ll be here within a future update.

Atm the only one we have I’ve seen is the Mysterious 3 day poop challenge. I believe we have yet to hear from this guy.

Apps are more customizable. The UI also tends to be better. The web app is fine but i find trying to upvote anything closes a post i just opened. Personally, i like seeing full images of things as I scroll by. So something like a webclient isnt very convenient and rather tedious. I’m using a whole bunch pf userscripts on my desktop to improve the pc experience, apps generally do that for me on android.

In the end, it’s user preference. I prefer Jerboa, Liftoff, and Thunder atm.

Try swapping on the Compact view in settings. That might be more what you’re looking for

Alternative to Youtube. A lot of youtube creators advertise it since they get more out of it and aren’t under youtube’s guidelines. It’s a 5 dollsr a month thing iirc, but you could do something like CuriosityStream + Nebula for 15 a year.

Everyday it gets harder to pick a lemmy app to use that isn’t Jerboa. Lmfao. This is great! Atm im between this and Thunder.

I do have one issue i see wasn’t fixed, but i believe someone has mentioned it. Which is I cannot see content if i go directly to an NSFW sub. It acts like there isnt anything there, but i know I’m able to as I can see it in the everything feed and subscribed feed.
