Storm? In my standard legal set?

Eh, it doesn’t have haste and costs 6.

It’s a win-con if oppo doesn’t have sorcery speed removal or better. And if you’ve had enough mana to make more than 2 of these things, there are certainly more broken things you could’ve done.

I doubt we’ll see storm on cards under 4 mana.

But yes, I think I agree with your ironic point in the value of what comes out of WotC and Maro. That said, changing your mind is better than locking into a decision for all time.

Yea, valid. Likely a bit of a win-more card. Though I assume if you’re playing a bit of spellslinger-type deck, you could churn out a couple of these, quickly escalating your boardstate. Considering that board clears aren’t as common in standard (I think they aren’t? unless something’s changed in the past couple years), I could see two to three of these killing the opponent quite quickly. Plus, they’re flying. And they’re likely not the only strong dragons in the sets. Valid point regardless.

For sure! Storm is just another mechanic after all. Definitely stronger than something like kicker, which is essentially evergreen, but in the right circumstances in a well-built set - sure, why not. Not sure if the risk is worth the reward, personally, but what do I care.
