    Hot take:

    I don’t care about that.

It takes me five to thirty seconds (depending on how clean my browser and IP are) and it helps train self driving cars, which will eventually take shitty drivers off the roads and save lives.

I’ve spent more time on Sudoku puzzles and they’re not objectively any more entertaining than clicking on traffic signals.

I can’t access my paystub from my work computer because it makes me go through a dozen of those just to tell my the paystub company has blocked my building’s network access due to too much traffic.

Then whoever designed the anti bot measures in your scenario screwed up, but that doesn’t make captchas bad.

Seat-belts occasionally kill people when they break, but they’re still good as a general rule.
