minus-squarequeermunist she/herlinkfedilink11•11 months ago80% of Democrats support a ceasefire. Why don’t 80% of Democratic politicians?
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink-2•11 months agoBecause they know they can get elected without opposing Israel. Which goes back to their constituency.
minus-squarequeermunist she/herlinkfedilink4•11 months agoWell when their choices on the ballot are to support Israel or support Israel, what is the constituency supposed to do?
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink-6•11 months agoWhy are their choices only to support Israel?
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink-12•edit-211 months agoWhat about it? Edit: He just downvoted me without an answer, so we can safely assume he has no real argument. It is the fault of the constituency. People can run for office while opposing Israel, but voters have been brainwashed into thinking otherwise.
minus-squarequeermunist she/herlinkfedilink0•edit-211 months agoI didn’t downvote you 🙄 there’s more people here than just us. People who run for office while opposing Israel end up with AIPAC targeting them. Next you’re going to say that it’s the constituency’s fault for big money deciding political races and that it shouldn’t matter that 100 million is being dumped to fight progressives. Running for congress takes money. Run for office while opposing Israel and your opponent will suddenly be flush with cash. It’s not the constituency’s fault that they’re being bombarded with propaganda and only presented with bad choices.
Blame their constituencies.
