I feels like hating on an extremist and convicted criminal that incite violence and threaten the already subpar democracy of a country is a very different hatred than hating minorities, lgbtq, and the unfortunate.

It just sucks that there had to be an assassination attempt. Making a light note of the event does not come close to openly calling for his assassination.
