        Uh can appeals appear in the same courtroom? I thought it’d automatically go to the next level

          The appeals court can reinstate the case, but it would then go back to the trial court to continue litigation. It’s only an appeal of the dismissal.

            Seems like if you’re going to bother with an appeal, you might as well try for a new judge/venue as well.

      Well if the 11th is quick, Trump still appeals to SCOTUS and we’ve seen how they drag their feet for him. And even if they didn’t, the case probably wouldn’t get far.

      If you’re hoping for this to affect the election at this point, I think the only thing to hope for is some bad rulings that get sensationalized as an October surprise to remind people what it was like last time he was in office.
