Going out on a massive limb here, but didn’t they lose because in the last round she made a really bad shot, cancelling his epic bullseye.
Hes the prof and the postgrad. He is it all.
There’s lots of other guys there that got ignored too. He’s only famous because of the basic gear and whole steeze like he could replace Liam Neeson in the next Taken.
even in this photo he sorta looks like he’s in an action movie playing the casual badass, it’s not rocket science why everyone started talking about him
the guy’s really handsome and looks like he’s not even wearing hearing protection, quick maffs
It’s a bad meme. Nothing wrong with the topic or fighting against sexism in academia, but the context of the picture is literally the opposite of the message.
It depends on the sort of team event, if its one where people co-operate to get a total outcome I agree with you. But in this sort of event there is no co-operative element as its just people grouped together showing individual performance. So even if he performed the best out of everyone, if his teammate did the worst it would literally cancel out his performance due to the team aspect.
It was only due to their combined scores that they got into the top two team slots for finals in the first place. Saying her last shot ruined it is wrong and ignores literally the entirety of match prior to that. It reminds me of how people would get mad in card games like Magic because their opponent drew a card that helped them win the game from a seemingly unwinnable position when in reality their ability to resist defeat until that point is what allowed them to get that draw. You can’t always just look at a single very specific moment and blame your outcome on that.
Yes they all got there because of the team aspect, and if she would have not had the bad last shot they would have got gold. Same as if she would have been perfect and he missed he would have lost the gold for the team. Its a pretty easy concept to grasp

I believe you’re correct. The best kind of correct
No way, x is the best kind of x??
According to Hermes, technically correct is the best kind of correct.
According to Number One Point Zero at the Bureau of Bureaucracy.

They didn’t lose. They won silver.
Silver is first in losing
“If you ain’t first you’re last!”
Alternatively:
“Hell, Bobby, I was high when I said that!”

Hmm not gold? Loser
You realize this is just a meme about sexism in science, right? Like why take it so literally?
It’s a bad meme. Nothing wrong with the topic or fighting against sexism in academia, but the context of the picture is literally the opposite of the message.
I also think making shit like this activity discredits the thing they’re trying to draw attention to.
“Cats hate water, please view this example.”
Wtf do you mean “canceing his epic bullseye”? That’s not how it works.
Yet it is. His wins were negated by her losses, they’re on the same team.
If your thought process is like this I hope that I never have to participate with you in any sort of team event.

He got solid 10’s on all his shots, didn’t he?
Uh every time I lose a card game it’s because the other guy got lucky
