        Even outside the elections, it is far too US-centric. I mean, it is lemmy.world after all.

          Unfortunately, the fate of the world kinda rests on the outcome of this election. From Ukraine and Israel at a minimum, to severe climate change and WW3 at the extreme end. I hate it too, but this is just too big to ignore.

                  Come on man. Harris is against those.

                  So being for a tax break for the rich is wrong. And being against a tax break for the rich is wrong? What other option even is there?

      This post has 199 upvotes and 18 downvotes, or 91.7% and 8.3% respectively. In other words, people want to see that kind of content, so that seems fair to me. I don’t expect lemmy to care about my local elections, I go to local websites for that. International social media naturally care about things that will affect most of their users.
