A shot of espresso is essentially one cup of it (as in an espresso cup, not the kind of cup you’d measure flour in when baking). It actually is a similar volume to a shot of vodka though
That depends. Caffeine can be lethal above a certain amount, and that amount of espresso is pretty close to that amount. So I imagine it would be a bit less pleasant than “a bit of hyperactivity,” especially if they’re not used to having that much caffeine.
