I don’t even think this is really being romantic and you bring up a good point. Taking a good photo should allow the viewer to have their imagination go wild and to do that you need to leave quite a bit to be implied.
I’d wager the vast majority of people browsing here aren’t furiously masturbating and are instead just feeling lightly amorous or turned on and the content that does well reflects that.
I define myself as such. Suits me. And for further proof, I’d invite you to read the text I submitted here on another /c/. Check my profile and browse my posts, if you feel curious; it’s there somewhere. It may be raunchy but I try my best to leave a lot unsaid. Things happen but I never feel the need to describe it to photographic definition.
I didn’t mean that in the sense that you shouldn’t consider yourself a romantic at all! I simply meant that I think in this case, your sentiments are actually shared by the greater community at large.
