      Rizz = charisma.

Chat = usually an audience watching a stream and adding messages to the chat.

Am I cooked = Have I ruined it.

Clip that = Create a short clip of whatever just happened.

Disclaimer: I’m old so might not be 100 on all these.

Yeah. I’m so old I STILL don’t get it.

“Is that charisma?” That makes no grammatical sense at all.

Haha yes! I think we all reach a point in our lives when we truly become adults, and it’s when we realise that adults who didn’t understand our lingo and were embarrassing actually:

            1. Understood more of it than they let on,
            2. Used it incorrectly around younger people for a laugh, or to help bolster the kid’s confidence (the kid gets a little “omg that adult doesn’t know what blorpitybloo means! I’m so much more cultured than they are” boost).
            3. Realised that every generation has their language “thing”, and we don’t necessarily have to keep up with the latest word on the street to be fulfilled, or to connect meaningfully with the younger generations.

Yeah, I’ve never thought that far in to it.

I guess I just think it’s a way to “tease” someone without the target of the joke being them. Like, lets all laugh about what an idiot dad is, instead of lets all laugh about what an idiot this kid is.

When I was a kid uncles, siblings, and yeah parents, “teased” us by making mildly humiliating comments about which we would all laugh in a good natured hearty way. As in “fine_sandy_bottom is too short, we’ll have to put sheep poo in his boots to help him grow quicker”. Maybe it’s just teasing, maybe it’s a shitty thing to say to a child.

Playing “dad is an embarrassing idiot” doesn’t have that ambiguity.

Haha yeah that stuff is great :-) Bonding at its finest!

Not quite the same thing but reminds me of how my father would always tell me I have hollow legs, on account of the huge amounts I’d eat whilst remaining skinny. I mean, I’d have a proper big evening dinner, then a bit later a microwave lasagne, then another microwave meal, and maybe a bar or two of fruit and nut chocolate, and never put any fat on xD

                Growing teenagers for ya :P

Neither do I and then I saw that someone responded to you with an explanation and I realized I didn’t need to know before I read it.

I’m not the world’s most social butterfly and people’s dependence on LLMs still makes me want to put my forehead through this relatively solid desk.

Been getting really into Stardew Valley recently, and cooking, been trying to ride my bike more too, though I probably ride more than most already.

I found stardew relaxing! Especially, strangely enough, how it doesn’t try to grip your attention too hard.

Like, it lets you feel like it’s okay to just put it down for as long as you like to do other life things then come back to it whenever you’re ready _

Check out the “You suck at cooking” YouTube channel, it’s not actually for people who are terrible at cooking haha but it’s a very well produced, witty series of recipes that are simple to follow and usually teaches me a thing or 2 along the way :-)

And the videos aren’t any longer than they need to be, which is refreshing!

Save your forehead and desk, this is referring to “chat” as the viewers of their “stream”. Streamers say this kind of thing and their viewers respond through the chat feature.
