Why/Why not?

I do, mostly because the anonymity is liberating. Not needing to worry about what folks who know me irl think about one thing or another. Odds are they wouldn’t care, but still.

Indeed. The Internet has always been liberating in that way. I hope it remains so, but it is getting harder.

Yes. Lots of instances block this one. If I tried to use this account on communities from other instances, it would be hard to interact with people - comments and upvotes wouldn’t be accepted.

        Not as sweet as yours!

My origin story is that the lemmynsfw signup was janky, so I had to try four times.

Yes, keep all your stuff separate! I have NSFW accounts, personal accounts and professional persona accounts.
Keep them all separate so they never overlap.

Yes for twitter, Reddit, forums, discord, GitHub etc.

The GitHub one is for a few nsfw projects I help contribute to so stash (a porn organiser), xbvr (vr porn organiser), stash-vr-companion and a few other plugins and tools. I want to keep that seperate from my normal GitHub.

I only have one (1) “smut” account and it is this one. Keeping it separated from my other (Fediverse) accounts is paramount given the problematic consequences a lack of separation could bring.

Hi, so I used to use Reddit a lot before but had to delete the account because my fiance started using it, I’m really new to here but it’s similar to Reddit I suppose, but yes this is my smutty account haha

    I mean, kind of.

On Reddit I didn’t because the smut mostly was just helping out with NormalNudes, and posting encouraging comments on the nude fitness progress sub, and I don’t really care, it was nudes but pretty wholesome. And I don’t have any online social media with my identity, never did because that whole scene seems dreadful.

Here I have 2 accounts, it’s easier to do that on Lemmy.

This is my smutty account. I like my privacy and don’t want everyone knowing my preferences at all times. Plus I want to post and don’t want people who know who I am seeing my hog. lol

No. The smut account is the main account. My friends all know my handle, and they know I’m a debaucherous degenerate, and if they snoop my history then they get what they asked for.
