One flavour text I really like is Trained Armodon: “These are it’s last days. Better to grow broad and heavy. Better that the enemy is crushed beneath it’s carcass.” Feels melancholy and special to me

Is it bad that I prefer the flavor text and card artwork to the actual game? Lol
Nope! One great thing about CCGs is that there’s a lot to enjoy without ever having to dip a toe into the gameplay
