Terra has a dirty open secret: some parts of the world enjoy comfort and wealth, but their comforts come from the sweat of people in other parts of the world who see little payoff.
Dalasin is like that too: the rich coastal cities have helper-robots, flying cars, VR headsets, and other luxuries. They work easy office jobs. Where do their material comforts come from? While there is pleasant work in some places (see the 1st and 2nd agriculture posts) there is also highly-exploited slave labour in other parts.
A lot of mining, industry, and some agriculture runs on slave-labour in the interior of the continent. And as Dalasin is a hyper-sexual world, you can guess what kind of slavery.
Industrial and mining countries in Dalasin
The mines and factories are owned&managed by wealthy Dominants who live fancy lives, drinking champagne, getting massages, taking private aircraft to and from the coastal cities to do business.
The work is done by their adoring, brainwashed, submissive slaves.
There are MaleDom countries and FemDom countries.
Control
The Dominants use every method of control on their workers: hypnosis, sexual control, carrot and stick.
Hypnosis: Interesting video about extreme hypnotic control – https://yewtu.be/watch?v=owootTAuxic – and at 12:45 the hypnotist talks about finding people in the top 1% for hypnotic susceptibility. But remember the population of Dalasin is bio-engineered by horny alien scientists; “Their brains, their hormonal systems, their bio-psychology is subtly different from naturally-evolved people: they have a much higher sex drive. They are more susceptible to hypnosis”. The article Newly Discovered Gene Cluster Linked to Hypnotizability suggests genes do it; the aliens put a gene-therapy vector on the planet – say in a rare flower. Doms know how to use the flower to prepare slaves, although they don’t know it’s alien tech, nor that it affects DNA.
At 26:00 a trance state is linked to a visual pattern of polka dots, but everything in Dalasin is more erotic, so maybe the slaves are programmed to go into an amnesiac trance every time they see this –
(That’s an 11MB gif btw, better (.mp4) here and here)
Or maybe it’s just Mistress’s eyes that are the visual trigger –
Or a gesture like when She bites Her lip. I know of one factory where the men are hypnotically programmed to go into trance at the sight of red lace lingerie.
Low-tech
A feature of Dalasin is differing technology levels.
A small-time Dominant in a backwater might oversee a crew of 8 slaves quarrying with pickaxes and other hand-tools. The labour productivity of these slaves is low, as they are working with crude tools. Let’s say each slave produces ₮6 worth of value per labour-hour. They work 3000 hours a year or more because they’re slaves. That’s ₮18k produced per slave per year. The Dom reïnvests 25% in things like bread-and-water for the slaves, and pockets ₮13.5k. So for eight slaves, they have ₮108k profit per year. This would be only middle-class in the coastal cities, but imagine making $108,000 a year in a rural Indian village. They have domestic servants, and live in a house like this amidst a village of huts/shacks:
This Dom controls their slaves using psychology plus sex and violence. Perhaps shock-collars and headphones with hypnosis; those are cheap things. They might spend an hour a week reïnforcing hypnosis on each slave. The best-performing slave each day gets the privilege of being used as the Dom’s fuck-toy that evening. Maybe they get a day off work to do lighter household duties as a privilege, like making Master’s bed. Some Doms engage in sadism for fun.
High-tech
Here the Dominants are in control of fixed capital, like a factory with machines, or heavy mining machinery. The labour-productivity of the workers is therefore higher (you mine more with a machine than a pickaxe).
Each slave produces ₮72 worth of value per labour-hour. If the rate-of-exploitation is 90% (and rate-of-exploitation is in fact higher where the means-of-production are more developed: 1, 2), the Dom pockets ₮162k per slave.
These sophisticated operations can control more slaves because they use technology to help the control-process:
- While slaves walk through the hallways of the factory, or eat lunch, or work on the assembly-line, they are exposed to screens and speakers reïnforcing the conditioning with verbal suggestions and visual triggers.
- Dormitories play reäffirmation while slaves sleep
- Slaves wear EEGs or other biometric devices. These track when a slave is sub-space and release the Dom’s perfume, to anchor the scent to the state.
- Stanford scientists boost hypnotizability with transcranial magnetic brain stimulation – sophisticated devices could increase the quality of control, and a Dom could reliably control more slaves.
The top picture is of a medium-scale factory-Dom with 25 slaves, making Her four million a year!
Hierarchies
Imagine a factory with 4000 slaves, each working 3000 hours a year, labour-productivity of ₮72. The gross value added of this factory is ₮864 million a year.
Now of course you can’t pay attention to 4000 slaves, or give them sexual rewards. Factories of this scale have a hierarchy of Dominants, maybe 1 Junior Dominant per 10-20 workers (like a floor manager). This person doles out punishment, gives sexual rewards, and supervises the work, and gets paid a few million a year. Then there is a fabulously wealthy board, or one President. Here is a picture of a floor-manager reminding Her slave of two big reasons She’s in charge:
Here is a factory-owner who made ₮200 million last year. She dominates dozens of Junior Dommes (they’re all in love with Her), who dominate a few thousand slaves. Once in a blue moon, an exceptional slave will be allowed to eat Her out:
Recruiting slaves
Some people are born into slavery. Some slaves are captured in war.
Even in the sophisticated coastal cities, there are rumours of dangerous Dominants cruising the clubs and streets to press people into slavery using trickery, seduction, or kidnapping.
