I set up Wii Games so you can play with a Dualsense controller using its gyro functions natively and it worked pretty well after a brief adjustment period, at least for games which use the Wii Remote + Nunchuck. You are right in that Gyro is an absolute necessity for Wii games, an Xbox controller won’t work. Maybe for some games which aren’t as motion heavy (simple actions can be simulated) but most you need some kind of gyro controls to play comfortably.
I don’t think playing Wii Sports with a Dualsense would be fun at all.
Maybe not but I haven’t tried it yet I was trying with other Wii games but not Wii sports, the gyro in the Dualsense does work for Wii games surprisingly well.
I can’t imagine a grip of a controller, one handed, that would be comfortable or effective when using it like a tennis racket, golf club, sword, or equipment for nearly any other sport in the game.
