    All US citizens are recorded. The government can tell if you are a citizen when you identify yourself.

    Do you guys not know this? If someone comes across the border through a non-legal point of entry, and is detained - they can find out if you’re a citizen or not once you ID yourself. If you don’t ID yourself, you’ll be assumed not to be a citizen.
