Trucks and sport utility vehicles with hood heights greater than 40 inches are about 45% more likely to cause fatalities in pedestrian crashes than shorter vehicles with sloped hoods, according to new research from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

    Oh don’t get me wrong. I got very clearly from your first comment that no opinion of any kind factored into your purchase decision. It was all System 1.

      And please don’t take my responses as I don’t care. I do care, but i need to balance the needs of my family.

      I just don’t think EVs are there yet in terms of feasibility. I considered them, but it’s just not for me yet. It will be at some point.
