I watched hockey when I played hockey, but I really only watched hockey with my hockey team.

I cared far more about the comraderie than the games we watched.

Though, I will saying watching a game from the boards is a lot of good fun, even if I don’t follow any teams.

I could not tell you who the captain of my local NHL team is off the top of my head.

Ugh, now hockey (the word) seems weird to me.

I’ll watch the Xgames highlights and skate videos on youtube, but other than that, I can’t think of the last sporting event I watched that wasn’t a work related outing.

Every guy I’ve dated has been a slob, unfortunately. My brother however, is very tidy. He’s also one of the most emotionally intelligent people I know. He’s fantastic at being supportive.

I know so many single men and women who say they don’t cook because cooking for one is stupid. I cook mostly for myself, that doesn’t mean you have to eat it on the same day.

I cook for myself but it usually means a week’s worth of leftovers. And by day 4 I’d much rather just go get a burger or some Chinese takeout than eat the same leftovers for the fourth day in a row.

Cook two different things on one day, so you can switch things up each day. If the food doesn’t stay fresh that long then freeze some portions, then next week cook one more dish while you still have leftovers so you can keep mixing up meals and not get tired of it.

As for the cleanliness thing, it’s really a spectrum based on my experience. If you are out there seeing enough homes of single men, you’ll probably see that.

But also, if a person (man, woman, or otherwise) thinks there’s a chance another person may come over who otherwise isn’t a part of their day to day life, then there’s a much higher than normal chance that they’ll ensure their place is in better than average state. So, there’s a lot of potential for bias in this particular metric.

As for male stereotypes that don’t apply to me? I’m not really into boobs and they don’t do much for me. Meh. I’m not into sports, don’t watch them, don’t read about them, don’t care about them. Couldn’t even tell you what’s going on with them at this moment.

right? my place is not a sty, but i clean once a week usually and by day 6 it’s dirty. i also leave random shit out everywhere. clutter does not bother me.

but of course i will clean extra if folks are coming over. and i de-clutter.

what i don’t like is when folks have a house that is set like it’s for a magazine shoot. that creeps me out… and many women I date… tha tis their ‘standards’ for a ‘good home’… one that is beiged out and looks like it’s staged for a real estate ad… it’s gross.

My place is organized when I’m single. When I’m in a relationship it gets messy cuz I don’t spend as much time there

I don’t change underwear once a few days. I used to in the past but since I live with my wife she made me change it every day.

This sounds like the stereotype exactly applies to you.

Good joke if it was one though.

I remember birthdays, anniversaries, and other important dates. I also spend time considering and looking for thoughtful gifts that will fit the person and not just be something they toss out right away.

Watching sports with a beer. I don’t drink beer and prefer lifting or cycling to watching.

I lookup coking ideas online (not just grilling) and like to try lots of different meals, although admittedly not so much when my kids are at their Mom’s.

Righ now I’m frustrated because I found a great idea for gnocchi that’s similar to something my younger son likes … and I just found out he’s cutting carbs

Wow, that looks great. I never actually made pasta since I assumed it takes a while and there are so many choices at the store. That looks quick and easy, and I’ve had good results with ricotta substituting in other things.

Make stews, they are easy to do slow in a slow cooker or fast in a pressure cooker. You can cut carbs by serving it over mashed garlic cauliflower.

I make a really good chicken stew with onions, celery, carrots, mushrooms, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, chicken stock, garlic, and chicken thighs. Chop them all up throw it in a pressure cooker or slow cooker and when it has stewed for a good amount of time add peanut butter and some hot sauce.

It is creamy and a bit removedy.

I’m sure it’s good but the mashed cauliflower part is vile. I refuse to eat that again. So is cauliflower “Mac and cheese”, even covered in Buffalo sauce

I don’t usually even have it with a side but if you put well steamed or boiled cauliflower into a blender along with butter, whipping cream, garlic, salt and pepper then you are going to have a good side dish even better if you have roasted garlic to add in instead of regular garlic.

All of them pretty much. like 1/3 of the women I date think I’m gay because I’m not the ‘typical guy they date’. The only stereotype i kind of fufill is not giving a shit about dressing well and fashion. oh and i like video games.
