just wondering if anyone else is seeing this, and possibly a bug related to the upgrade?

I just noticed that in the communities that I started, mod team memberships got reordered randomly and I no longer have the option to add/appoint new mods. Examples: [email protected] , [[email protected]

Update: hmm, even in this mod coordination, the membership is all changed, and @[email protected] is no longer top moderator…

More weirdness update Monday: at !DangleAndJingle, I just added @[email protected] as mod. But in the sidebar, s/he is listed out of order and not reflective of modlog transactions…

Experimenting in !modcoord shows that I cannot de-mod anyone with a lower user id, but I can de-mod e.g. @[email protected] who I assume is the original owner.

I’m guessing the intended behaviour is that you shouldn’t be able to edit a mod who’s been mod longer than you, but they’re sorting/checking the wrong thing.

@[email protected] This instance appears to be ordering mods by user_id, not by date_granted_mod (or whatever).

I’ve just tested on ds9.lemmy.ml and it’s not happening there so it might be just a here thing. I need to do paid work now, so I can’t test on any live communities to confirm that it is only here.

        Great Awesome investigation! 👍😊

This may also explain why some communities are impacted vs those that are not.
