Just curious to know how many mods here are

  • A. still “here” and active
  • B. here but given up due to lack of momentum, interest
  • C. abandoned platform completely
  • D. just waiting for the 1 year mark and praying new users and posters will continue to come
  • E. other? (like only relying at alternative matrix chat)

I’ll be happy to see more than 10 responses from this dead community 😉

[Update 11/18]: glad to see comments, feedback, much more than I expected. Also see the modlog for actions taken. Just wanted to point out a couple of threads:

Not a mod, but a new user from Reddit. I’m the husband of an MF bbw couple. We’ve enjoyed posting ourselves on reddit over the years.

I was happy to see there was an NSFW Lemmy instance. I’m also happy to see that it’s well moderated.

There doesn’t yet seem to be a critical mass of people here. We’re not conventionally attractive people, but on reddit there were numerous places we could feel welcomed and hot.

    That’s not the case here.

There’s a bbw community here I’ve started posting in. I tried a few other places, but ended up getting more downvotes than upvotes. That doesn’t feel good when we’re just here to show off.

I’m planning on sticking around for a while, hopefully some more plus-size lovers come around here soon 😘

We’re out there, waiting for content. Actually the lack of content in those areas has spawned a conversation between my partner and myself to start making our own to post here. Like you all, we are unconventionally attractive, and quite comfortable with our own skin/wants/desires. Just trying to navigate the groundwork between us to post online comfortably.

Please hang in there. Feel free to start up a new community if one doesn’t exist, or volunteer to help mod at existing ones that interests you. You can help change the tenor and culture of body shaming that goes on by trolls brigade-voting.

Modding and growing communities sometimes is “hard” work, but very rewarding once you meet friends and like-minded folks.

Take your time. Hopefully you can find something that works for you.

The fun we get out of posting ourselves is the biggest reason we do it!

Thanks for the link to the thread, I added my opinion.

Unfortunately, gender, body and kink shaming remains very prevalent…

I can see that. It seems like getting rid of downvotes would be worth trying to help combat this.
